  	Olivia Times-Journal, Olivia, Minnesota. Thursday, May 31, 1951 Volume LXXVIII Number 44 Page 1 Column 3. Funeral Held for Mrs. J. Ployhart. Funeral services were held Thursday morning, May 24 at St Aloysius church in Olivia for Mrs. Josephine Ployhart of Olivia, who passed away at the Renville County Hospital on May 22. The service was in charge of Reverend Fr. Stanley Skluzacek and burial was made in the local church cemetery. Pallbearers at the funeral were all grandsons of the deceased. They were George Novak, Erwin Ferfarek, James Topal, Louis Vetruba, Gerald and Reinert Halverda. Mrs. Ployhart had been ailing for the past year. She had been confined to the local hospital for 14 days before her death. Deceased was born in Czeckoslavakia on March 19, 1869 and was 82 years of age. She came to the U.S. with her parents when she was one year of age and the family lived for some time at Kimball, South Dakota. She has lived some 44 years in Kandiyohi and Renville counties and in Olivia the past 30 years. Born Josephine Solak, she was first united in marriage to Joseph Topal in 1900. He died in 1910. In 1926, she was married to Jacob Ployhart, who died in 1928. She is survived by five sons and eight daughters. The are James Topal, Blomkest; Frank Topal, Renville; William Topal, Olivia; Louis Topal, Lake Lillian; Henry Topal, New Ulm; Mrs. Louis Vertruba (Rose) of Blomkest; Mrs. P. Kopecek (Pauline) of Olivia; Mrs. Ed Terfarek (Ella) of St Paul; Mrs. John Stech (Christiana) of Ogema; Mrs. Mike Novak (Stella) of Olivia; Mrs. Ludwig Farfarek (Anna) of Blomkest; Mrs. Joe Sluka, (Albena) of Willmar; and Mrs. Pope Halverda (Mary) of Blomkest. A sister, Mrs. Anna Kachnitche of Timble, South Dakota, also survives. A number of relatives and friends from a distance and from Olivia area attended the funeral.

  Josephine was first married to a man in Kimball, South Dakota named Louis Vesely and had the first four children with him. She married Joseph Toupal and had the remainder of the children. They are in the 1900 census in in Winfield Township, Renville County. Joseph died October 2, 1911 and Josephine then married Jacob Ployhart.
