      Sept. 14, 1899
      Isaiah Stauffacher, an old farmer of Sylvester, died at 7:00 last evening after an illness of
      six months from cancer of the stomach. He was a native of Switzerland and was born in
      1827. He is survived by his wife and several grown up children. The funeral will be held
      Sunday afternoon at 10:00 from the house and later from the Dutch Hollow Church not far
      distant.
